The banyan tree has reticulate venation in their leaves because Banyan's leaf is a dicot.
In reticulate venation, veins are arranged in a net like pattern on both sides of midrib.
Margins are smooth and the petiole is short and finely haired. When leaves are small, they are covered with a fine down, which fades as they grow to their full size.
