When we mix different candies in a container, it will form a heterogeneous mixture. We can still recognise the component of the mixture as they are visible through the naked eye.
- The mixture of two or more substances in which components are not equally distributed throughout the mixture is called a heterogeneous mixture.
- As we can see the individual components through naked eye, we can easily separate them by physical methods such as handpicking, sieving etc.
- Mixture of different candies in a container is an example of heterogeneous mixture as different candies are non-uniformly distributed. Besides this, different candies are visible through naked eye due to no interaction among particles of different candies.
