A Bronsted acid is a proton donor(loses an H+ in the reaction) and a Bronsted base is a proton acceptor (gains an H+ in the reaction)

HCN is the Bronsted acid becuase it is donating the hydrogen ion to the NH2. NH2 is therefore the bronsted base because it is accepting the proton.
