Normally the soil of ph around 5 to 7 is good for crop production. ..still the ph requirment varies in some crops. .
When the chemical nature of the soil becomes acidic it is treated with some basic fertilisers...to neutralise it...

Alluvial soil is will give good yield in crop production. the more chemical substance added the soil it get acidity
