NaCl shows Vacancy or Schottky defect.

A stoichiometric defect is a defect which does not affect the molecular formula of a compound. If the cationic and anionic sizes are not much apart it will exhibit schottky or vacancy defect in which a cation and an anion leave their lattice point.
