What type of wavefront will emerge from a point source and distant light source

GovindRavi: spherical wave fronts emerge out from the point source...if the light source is far away though it looks like a point source but the shape of wave front are in the shape of plane because of small curvature...The good example for the same is the Wave front from the sun to Earth is the plane wave front front...imagine a spherical wave feont emerge out from the sun to Earth but when it reaches to Earth its curvature become too small and considered as plane..so called plane wave front..
