AnswEr :

Digestion In Mouth

  • Initially the carbohydrates (polysaccharides) are reduced to disaccharides like maltose and dextrin by salivary amylase

\sf Polysaccharides \xrightarrow{Salivary \ Amylase} Disaccharides

  • Food leaving the mouth is known as Bolus

  • Food is passed in to the stomach by the oesophagus

Digestion In Stomach

Gastric Glands constitute three types of cells :

  • Zymogen Cells : Secrete Pepsinogen

  • Parietal Cells or Oxyntic Cells : Secrete HCl

  • Mucus Neck Cells : Secrete Mucus

Hydrochloric Acid creates the necessary medium for activation of Pepsinogen to Pepsin,it's active form

  • Pepsin reduces Proteins into simpler substances called Peptones and Proteases

\sf Proteins \xrightarrow{Pepsin} Peptones / Proteases

  • In addition to Pepsin, infants contain the enzyme Rennin in their stomachs

  • Rennin helps in digesting milk proteins

Digestion In Small Intestine

  • Food leaving the stomach is known as Chyme

  • Chyme is acidic in nature, which is further neutralized by Bile Juice

  • The process of digestion terminates in the small intestine

  • The chief constituents of the incoming food would contain carbohydrates, proteins and fats.In addition to this, substances like cholesterol and bacteria are also a part of chyme

Digestion in small intestine is classified as :

  1. Digestion of Proteins
  2. Digestion of Carbohydrates
  3. Digestion of Fats

Through the Hepato Pancreatic Duct which terminates into the duodenum, enzymes from the Pancreatic Juice and Bile Juice are brought into the Small Intestine

Pancreatic Juice contains the following enzymes :

  1. Chymotrypsinogen
  2. Trypsinogen
  3. Carboxypeptidases
  4. Lipases
  5. Amylases
  6. Nucleases

An hormone known as Entrokinase activates Trypsinogen into Trypsin which inturn activates all the other enzymes

Digestion of Carbohydrates

  • Amylase, referred to as Pancreatic Amylase reduces carbohydrates into Glucose

  • Excess glucose is stored in liver inform of Glucagon

\sf Carbohydrates \xrightarrow{Amylase} Glycogen

Digestion of Fats

  • Lipases break fats into fatty acids and phospholipids

\sf Fats \xrightarrow{Lipases} Fatty Acids

Digestion of Proteins

  • Trypsin,Chymotrypsin and Carboxypeptidase breakdown peptones into peptides and amino acids

\sf Proteins \xrightarrow{Trypsin/Chymotrypsin/Carboxypeptidases} Peptides

Answer:

Hey mate your answer is here

Explanation:

On digestion of food the body faces a decomposition reaction, i.e. decomposition of food in our body. Decomposition is nothing but a chemical reaction and breaking down of food into digestible nutrients such as Carbohydrates, proteins, fats which our body required for proper functioning.

Hope it helps u
