The fusion OF male and female gamets is called fertilization.

There are two types of fertilization

-Internal fertilization
a fertilization that takes place inside the female body is know as internal fertilization.
For example-Humans,Dog,and Cat etc.

Extrnal fertilization-fertilization that takes place outside the female body is know as external fertilization.
For example-Frogs and fishes etc.
