nascent state in chemistry refers to chemical form of an element in the instance of their formation or liberation or formation. oxygen is always in O2 form . but during some chemical reactions nascent oxygen is formed. It is single oxygen atom where valency is not satisfied . hence is most unstable it immediately reacts with other substances to satisfy it's valency.
