Corn laws was abolished because the industrialist and urban dwellers unhappy with high food prices, as a result the law was abolished.

The laws allowing the British Government to restrict import of cornis known as "Corn Law". These lawswere abolished because the industrialists and urban dwellers were unhappy with high food prices; as a result of which they forced theabolition of the Corn Laws.
