- Through this, an adopted son could not continue ruling the territory.

- The land comes to the hands of the British if they king and queen do not have a son of their own.

- Such a practice was immoral as the British chose a wrong way to administer the land.

- They utilised the land and money mostly for themselves and not for the public. This caused a lot of public resentment.
