ANSWER:
Development of India
EXPLANATION:
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam who was an eminent aerospace scientist as well as India’s eleventh President from the period 200-2007. He had three key visions of which the second was to transform India into a developed nation by combining five areas which was identified centred on India's talented manpower, natural resources, and core competence for integrated action to increase India’s GDP growth rate twofold and realise ‘Developed India’s vision.
Dr. Kalam felt that for the past fifty years India has been known only as a developing country, and it as time we witness ourselves as a developed country. He further stated that with India being amongst the top 5 nations globally in terms of GDP, having 10 percent growth rate in many areas, declining poverty levels, and India’s accomplishments being globally recognised, yet we do not have the self-confidence to see India as a developed country - self-assured and self-reliant.
