✯ELEMENTARY EDUCATION : there were elementary schools called ᴘᴀᴛʜsʜᴀʟᴀs for Hindus and ᴍᴀᴋᴛᴀʙs for Muslims.

►these schools could be located in premises owned by wealthy persons or temples or mosques,or even under shade giving trees.
► there were no printed books. teaching was done orally in the vernacular language by Gurus in pathshalas and by moulvis in maktabs.
► children of wealthy families were often taught at home by paid tutors.
