Gulliver discovered some creatures and thought that these creatures are called Lilliputians. Startled by this sight, Gulliver rolls out and soon figures out how to free his left arm. The alarmed Lilliputians fire many small bolts into his hand, face, and body until he lies smoothly. The Lilliputians then form a phase to Gulliver's side that is about a foot and a half tall, whereupon a "Man of Quality" stands and makes a ten-minute discourse to Gulliver in a language he can't get it.

Gulliver flags that he needs food and drink, so the general population brings crate of meat and a few chunks of bread, which he eats three at any given moment since they are so modest to him. The Lilliputians likewise bring two barrels of drink, which he appreciates despite the fact that they are littler than a large portion of a half quart together.
