Holocaust in general is mass murder or destruction, usually caused by nuclear war or fire. But, there is also 'The Holocaust', which took the lifes of many European Jews. More than 6 million (Europe related) Jews, as well as members of other abused/mistreated groups, such as gypsies and homosexuals (people who are sexually attracted to the same sex), were murdered at concentration camps such as Auschwitz.
