Genocide Act, 1969 was passed in the British Parliament. It was based on the convention of prevention and punishment of the crime of Genocide. This convention was passed by the United Nations General Assembly on 9th December, 1948. Genocide is an inhuman act of crime where a social or cultural group is attacked by a deliberate planned effort. Ex - Nazis attack on Jews.
