♠Mendeleev 's Periodic Table ♠
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

〰He arranged the then known elements into a table . His basis of classification was :-

➡Increasing Atomic Masses

➡Grouping together of Elements having similar properties .

〰Vertical columns containing dissimilar property elements were called Groups . There were 8 Groups in his table .

〰Horizontal columns containing similar property elements were called Periods . There were 7 periods in his table .

〰He even left gaps in his periodic table for accommodating future discovered element's. he even predicted their properties by studying properties of neighboring elements.

➡So his classification laid down the basis of Modern periodic table
