Mrs. Fitzgerald thought Mrs. Pearson was to be
blamed partially for letting her family members treating her so thoughtlessly
and selfishly. She had spoilt them by running after them all the time, taking
their orders as if she were the servant in the house. She stayed at home every
night while they went out enjoying
themselves. She did not complain to her
husband, son, and daughter about treating her like dirt. Mrs. Fitzgerald believed Mrs. Pearson must
put her foot down and make her family realize her importance by refusing to be
their servant.
