PRI was a party called Institutional Revolutionary Party of Mexico. Dirty Tricks :

(i)   All government employees had to attend party meetings.

(ii) Teachers of government schools forced parents to vote for PM.

(iii) Media ignored opposition party.

(iv) PRI also spent large sum of money in campaigning.

The Institutional Revolutionary Party  was founded in 1929 and was the Mexican political party that held  power  for 71 consecutive years from 1929 to 2000, initially as the National Revolutionary Party (Spanish: Partido Nacional Revolucionario, PNR), then the Mexican Revolutionary Party (Spanish: Partido dela Revolución Mexico, PRM), and finally as a PRI from 1946.

The PRI held absolute power across the country for most of the 20th century.

Except for serving as President of the Republic until 1976, all members of the Senate belonged to the PRI, and until 1989 all governors also belonged to the PRI.

Repression to maintain power,  usually by resorting to fraudulent elections.

In particular, the 1940, 1952, and 1988 presidential elections  were characterized by massive fraud and fraud condemned by both national and international observers.
