The Rowlatt Act (1919) was passed by the British Government with the aim of coming to political power. According to this act, the government could control political activities and detain political prisoners for two years without any trials.

The rowlatt act was depend upon two purpose mainly-
☆ the British pass the act to the Indians that without any trial in court the indian could be arrest and without any arrest warrant
☆ latter these act was taken by the British governments be cause all indian got angry and they started the non violence movement
