Answer:

Explanation: Answer to the first part of the question.

Sardar Vallabhai Patel was determined to bring prosperity into the lives of the farmers of Gujarat. The poor plight of these farmers moved the heart of the Iron Man of India(Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel). He decided to organise them into a co-operative force and provide them with a respectable income.

Answer to the second part of the question.

The two persons who helped Sardar Vallabhai Patel realise his dream were

  • Mr Tribhuvandas Patel
  • Dr Verghese Kurien

Mr Tribhuvandas Patel was a local farmer leader . He was given the responsibility by  Sardar Vallabhai Patel of organising the disorganised farmers to form a co-operative society for the welfare of the poor farmers. He soon formed a co-operative society by bringing together all the disorganised farmer under one umbrella. In 1946 he formed a society called Kaira District Co-operative Milk Producers' Union and became the first chairman of Amul Dairy which was formed with the help of Dr Verghese Kurien.

Dr Verghese Kurien was instrumental in laying the foundation of democratic enterprises at remote villages and far flung hamlets which ensured economic justice to the farmers. While working in Anand,Gujarat as a government dairy engineer he was approached by Mr Tribhuvandas Patel to assist him in setting up the milk processing plant.

He soon joined Mr Patel and formed co-operatives in the Kheda district, Gujarat and this was how Amul Dairy

got its existence . He brought about a new rural India and turned into the largest  milk producer. His constant effort provided work and homes to many people of rural India. He played a great role in generating employment in rural India

He was once even invited by the Prime Minister of India in 1946 to apply the  model of AMUL throughout the country as it brought immense economic stability amongst the farmers . In 1970 Operation Flood was implemented throughout India in three successive phases . This initiative helped dairy farming in becoming the largest self sustaining industry and also generate huge employment  in the rural India.

Hope this helps.
