)Sayed Ahmed bin Muttaqi Khan commonly known as Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was an Indian Muslim pragmatist, social reformist, historian, and philosopher of the nineteenth century. He was born on October 17, 1817, in Delhi and started his career as a civil servant.

Khan laid the foundation of modern scientific education in undivided India and was one of those early pioneers who recognised the critical role of education in the empowerment of the poor and backward Muslim community.

)The two-nation theory is the basis of the creation of Pakistan. It states that Muslims and Hindus are two separate nations by every definition; therefore, Muslims should be able to have their own separate homeland in the Muslim majority areas of India, in which Islam can be practiced as the dominant religion.

)The Hindi–Urdu controversy is an ongoing dispute—dating back to the 19th century—regarding the status of Hindi and Urdu as a single language, Hindustani (lit "of Hindustan"), or as two dialects of a single language, and the establishment of a single standard language in certain areas of North India.

)The Aligarh Movement was the push to establish a modern system of education for the Muslim population of British India, during the later decades of the 19th century. ... The founder of the oriental college, and the other educational institutions that developed from it, was Sir Syed Ahmed Khan.
