Third Estate wasn't all that happy with this plan. As a result, they met in a nearby tennis court and declared themselves the 'National Assembly.' From here, they proclaimed, they would represent the true voice of the French people. Moreover, they agreed to the Tennis Court Oath, demanding that they would not leave their gathering until they were heard as the representatives of the people.
