South Africa had long being suffering from the rule and violence of Whites. The local people were traded as slaves and forced to work for whites within their own homeland.

At the time of emergence of the new democracy within South Africa, the nation was elected with its own government. It was made after electing black people as a part of the ruling government.

At the time of formation of this new democracy, the black leaders had appealed to their fellow black man to forgive all white people for all torture and atrocities they had done during their rule.

The main aim of the leaders was to help build a new nation that was not based on upholding democracy, inequality on the basis of gender, caste, color or race.

This appeal asked the fellow to forgive and forget the torture and abominations of the white men for the wrong they have done to black men.

In order to build a democratic society, the aim of the leaders was to promote equality of races and gender.
