1. there was a fear among people that christan missionaries will convert them into christans.
2. introduction of cartidige that has a coat of fat of pig and cows..
3.there was a discrimination between indian and british soldier..
4. zamindars were forced to collect heavy taxes from peasents and if they didn't do same the zamindari will be passed to someone else..

The causes of 1857 revolt are as follows:-

1. Economic causes- the most important cause of popular discontent was the British policy of economically exploiting India. This hurt all section of the society. the peasents suffered due to high revenue demands and district revenue collection policy.

2.Political causes- the British policy of Terrestrial and actions lead to the displacement of a large number of bullets and Chiefs. the various application of the policies of subsidiary alliance and doctrine of lapse angered the youth ruling section of the society.

3.
