The 'Civilizing Mission' meant the spread of western culture, thoughts, education, language, science and logic in the colonies. They thought that it was the duty of the superior races to educate and civilize the people of Asia and Africa.

⭕ Colonies like Europe and France considered themselves as the most advanced civilization.

⭕ According to them, it became the duty of Europeans to introduce their modern ideas to colonies like Vietnam.❤️

⭕ Thus they started civilizing mission in Vietnam, They introduced modern ideas there, Even if it meant destroying their local culture and traditions. They were seen outdated and prevented modern development ✔️✔️
