Kheda was the district in the Gujarat State of British India. It faced many hardships before the Satyagraha of Kheda. The peasant were mistreated. The taxes were high and had to be paid in any circumstances even if the crop fails. These led to the emergence of Kheda Satyagraha which was third in its kind and also organized by M. K. Gandhi.
