women in France were also so strong in the revolution. they were however termed as passive citizen in the constitution of 1991 . they were not given right to vote . they had to work for a living only girls of prosperous people were given rights to get educated and then there family will decide there marriage . they fought for such rights . they joined government offices and places . after hundreds of years of fight for rights they got the right to vote in 1946 in France

Women actively participated in the FRench revolution

Maria Gouze, wrote under the pen name Olympe de Gouges and published the declaration of woman's rights in 1791.she was an inspiring political figure but women were not given that authority in politica pronlems after the French Revolution, But women continued protesting against price of food and by joining clubs organised by women's . The society of revolutionary republican established during 1793 the political status did not give much rights to women as such . but the rights of women being deprived was taken into discussion during the formation of the constitution

But the women clubs were supressed after and the rights of the women were taken and the women were prohibited from entering the galleries of the national convent etc
