The difference between lifting weight by hand and lifting up a weight by using a pulley is as follows -

• We need less efforts while lifting weight by using a pulley as compared with the weight lifting by our bare hands.

• The pulley needs less amount of effort because the weight (or,tension) of the object is equally distributed over the rope of the pulley system.

• And,the pulley system also changes the direction of the force which makes the lifting process a lot more easier.

• In this way,the weight lifting by pulley and weight lifting by hands,are different from each other.
