Akbar built the ibadat Khana which was the hall of worship at fatehpur sikri to hold discussions on faith, science, nature and history in which he invited the ulamas, brahmins, Christian missionaries, Buddhist and Jain monks and Zoroastrains to participate in these discussions and being influenced by these discussions Akbar created a new religion called din-i-ilahi or tauhid-i-ilahi.
