India has Parlimentary democracy; ie, it has a parliment. A parliamentary system, also known as parliamentarianism , is a system of government in which the executive is dependent on the direct or indirect support of the legislature (often termed the parliament), often expressed through a vote of confidence.
Another type of democracy is Presidential Democracy. It is a system of government where the executive body exists and presides seperately from the legislature, to which it is not accountable and which cannot in normal circumstances, dismiss it. The USA follows the Presidential Democracy system.
