the immediate cause for the revolt of 1857 was that the sepoys are disobeying the rulrs and regulation prescribed by the east india company or britishers .
secondly, the nawabs are loosing their power by their different laws .
and the last one is that the peasants are unable to make payment for the loan they had used because the britishers make many complications to return the amount and also the peasants have to pay taxes and anything else and their income is cheap and this made them angry which is the main reason for the revolt of 1857.
