the immediate problem faced by independent India was the problem of poverty.
•since Indians had been under the colonial rule for longer than 20 years, many farmers and craftsmen were thrown out of employment.
•Other problems included loss of land for the migrants who went from India to Pakistan or came from Pakistan to India, the new government had to be formed. the princely states were not ready to join the new country and many more such problems were faced by the new independent India
