The printing press played a major role in the development of reform movement. Before the time of printing press, there was only handwritten press. The number of books produced was very less. After advanced machinery was invented, a larger number of books came to be printed. These books instilled feelings of nationalism and revolution in the readers and this led to the social reform movement.
