Midnapore Collegiate School, formerly Governmental Zilla School, established on 14 November 1834,[1] is one of the oldest schools in Bengal as well as India. The students and teachers of this school made contributions to Indian Freedom Movement during the British Rule. Khudiram Bose, a martyr in the freedom struggle was one of the students of the school.
