Heyaa folk,

# The first war of independence was held in 1857.

# The main leaders were Bahadur Shah Zadar and Rani Lakshmi Bai.

# The main cause of the first war of independence was the introduction of some government rules like Doctrine of Lapse and the immediate cause was the introduction of Enfield Rifle for which the cartridge was to be bitten of first before use and disrespect of Bahadur Shah Zafar.

# Acc. to the doctrine of lapse the kingdom's king or queen if were not having their natural heir had to leave their kingdom and give it to the government and due to this many kingdoms were annexed by Britishers.

# The British introduced Enfield Rifle whose cartridge had to be bitten up before use and the cartridge was made up of the meat of cow and pig and Hindus and Muslims considered them as scared and as not good.

# The Britishers ordered Bahadur Shah Zafar that after his death his successors will have to leave the palace and all the imperial titles and had to live near Red fort.
