The main fears of Ulama were about :(1)=ghost,(2)=vampire,(3)=dayan,(4)=bhoot.

Scholarly  Muslim sariyat and religious law, 1680, formed Arabic 'ulema or learned persons, or scholars. The plural of Ulama is alim educated, from alma means to know.

The term ulama ’s literal meaning is the persons who possess knowledge ie. film , Specifically related to  Islam. High society persons like  Lawyers and judges were key members of the ulama.

They had legal skills which were considered critical to the Islamic regulation and society related to social and commercial matters such as making wills, conducting marriage, and trade.
