The 1935 Act was the second installment of constitutional reforms passed by British Parliament for implementing the ideal of responsiblegovernment in India. The Act of 1935Page 3 106 envisaged a federal form of government and as such was a radical departure from its predecessors. It granted provinces to the Centre.
