The main dilemma of the poet was that suddenly he came in front of a fork in the forest path and he didn't knew , which path would take him to his destination.

The main dilemma of the poem "the road not taken" was that poet was confused in choosing the two roads in the forest. He chose the second one which was less travelled. But the poet was unhappy because he knew that he can't travel on both the oads at a same time.

Hope it will help you!
