The reservation nourishes the historically disadvantaged castes and tribes, listed as Scheduled Castes and Scheduled tribes (SCs and STs) by the Government of India and also those designated as Other Backwards Classes (OBCs).

Main objective of reservation is to “represent members” from “socially and scholastically group of backward class, minority or gender” into public as well as government service sectors, society and educational institutions to protect fundamental rights, presence, risk of discouragement, etc.

The quota and reservation is allotted for bridging the gap of humiliation, discrimination, and to bring equality of status, power in society.
