Muni's occupation in the story "a horse and two goat" was feeding the goats. Every morning he would take the goats to the field and he rest under the giant horse statue. In the evening he used to return back.

The occupation of Muni in horse and the two goats

In the story, ‘Horse and the Two Goats’, the only occupation that Muni had was to take care of the two goats in his possession. He was old and could not work in a regular occupation.

Further, since he belonged to a poor caste, he could not study or do any other business to earn a living. When he lost all his livestock to famine, he became very poor and was left only with the two goats.

So the only job that Muni did was to take care of the goats by taking to grazing fields by the road and near the horse statue. Ironically, it was this job that gave him a fortune through the American.
