The proortions of populations in Sri Lanka are:
1.Srilanka comprised of Sinhala speakers and Tamil speakers. Simhala were 74 percent while Tamils were only 18 percent.
2.Tamils were divided into two categories :
Srilankan Tamils and Indian Tamils.
3.Most Sinhala speakers were Buddhist while Tamils were both Hindu and Muslims.
4. 7 percent were Christians from both the communities.
