Heyya!

Appendix is a vestigial organ which has lost its functions with time. But in ancestral forms it served the purpose of digesting leaves and some other functions also.

Hope it helped!!!

Hey!!!
Earlier Apendix used to be a very important organ in our body. It was used yo digest cellulose which we gained by eating leafes, grass and uncooked food. This was the case during the stone age. But now as we are advanced enough, and now we have many equipments so it is a vistigal organ. And in evolution the new generation will not have an appendix.
Hope it hels you

SRFARNAV: yes
SRFARNAV: thnx isha
