Heya Friend...

Here is your answer.....

_____________________________________________________________

The Zamindars were the heads of the places which they were appointed by the Mughals. Zamin + Dar or Land + Lord = Landlord or Zamindar. Therefore, Zamindars were also known as the landlords.

To Handle the people, in 1772 CE, Saadat Khan, the leader or Irani group in Delhi was appointed by Muhammad Shah as the governor of Awadh because due to the increase of rebellion, people refused to pay the taxes. He was Successful in suppressing the revolts and ensuring that the zamindars paid the taxes. Saadat Khan soon established a semi-independent province at Awadh. Though he continued to rule in the name of the Mughal emperor, Awadh was in every other way an independent province.

In 1739 CE, Saadat Khan helped the Mughal emperor fight against Nadir Shah. Saadat Khan was succeeded by his son-in-law Safdarjung in 1739 CE. In 1748 CE, Emperor Ahmad Shah made Safdarjung a wazir. Safdarjung took on the title of "Nawab-Wazir of Awadh".

Saadat Khan and is successors brought back peace to Awadh. Its capital, Lucknow, Became a famous centre of Urdu poetry, Dance and music.

However, Awadh was a prosperous area on the fertile flood plain of the Ganga.
