1-India is a secular country as it doesnot have any official relegion.
2-all indian citizens have relegious freedom. any one can practise and foster any relegion.
3-the State does not prevent and foster any relegion.
4-Indian constitution prohibits discrimination based on relegion.
5- the constitution ensures equality among relegious communities. 
   Thus, secularism is not just an ideology of some political parties or persons it is one of the foundation of our country.
