Tennis Court Oath was taken on 20 June , 1789 when the representatives of third estates was assembled in the hall of indoor tennis court Versailles. People of third estates declared that they formed the National Assembly and swore not to disperse till they drafted a constitution for France that would limit the powers of the Monarch.

it was very important as all the members of 3 estate went there and taken oath to make the french society a republic
