Yes there is a significance of the first battle of panipat to indias culture and tradition . As the first battle was fought between Ibrahim lodhi of delhi sultanate's and Babur of the mughal empire yes it established the mughal power in india . Till then the mughals ruled the india for more than 400 years and then panipat was founded a great centre for mughals. Due to the first battle panipat was founded and babar laid the foundation . This is the reason when panipat was led 2 more battles in the past

After the battle, Babur occupied Delhi and Agra, took the throne of Lodi.
