The suffrage movement was a struggle for the rights of women to vote. As before women were not allowed to vote but due to the movement now women have the right to vote. The struggle took over 70 years of constant, determined campaigning, led by the women to vote. It started during the World War-1.When most of the men had gone to fight in war women did all the work of the house, in workplaces and earned money for the family and from this let to the idea of  the movement. Before only the men had the right to vote and choose their leaders but then women also started voting.
