Charles I was defeated and executed in 1649 and England became republic bloodless revolution is also called as glorious revolution. it is called so because the supreme power is transferred to parliament without shedding a drop of blood or firing a shot.

1.It led to limiting of the powers of the monarch which was never done before and this power was shared by the parliament .
2.It introduced the bill of Rights which ensured certain civil rights to the people and led the guidelines about distribution of power between monarch and parliament.
