Lucia is suffering from spinal tuberculosis . his brothers help him by doing many odd jobs like selling newspaper, wild strawberries etc

Lucia was suffering from Tuberculosis of Spine...
And their brothers Nicola and Jacopo helped her by working...
At first they were selling wild strawberries, then shining shoes, hawking newspapers, ran errands for the author.. They spent very little for themselves as they wear shabby clothes and eat black breads and figs...
